jasmine and nuke are my favorite couple. they love each other to the moon and back. there is no way that anyone but themselves could cause issues in their relationship. i do wonder about pipe's revelation to ella will come back and bite him in the ass. i do hope nuke's prediction at the end of the book comes true. amy and jasmine's friendship is awesome. i was glad to see more of her in this book. mitch and the guys are a hoot when they give nuke crap over his and jasmine's love life. i do agree with a previous reviewer that kevin might have caused an issue to come up later. i do hope we get to see another book centering on nuke and jasmine as well as on pipe, kevin, medic and nora. this was a great read and i can't wait to see more of this series. this is my favorite ir mc series. it's hard to find a book of this caliber for interracial couples.Product details

This second book in the Hell's Viper's series is much stronger in both writing, characterization and tone than the first book. Although I liked the main plot a lot better in the first book, I think this book benefits from familiarity with the characters gleaned from the first book so that the author is able to deepen them to very good effect.
For one thing, Jasmine and Nuke have settled into their relationship. They are married and committed to each other. She is accepted as 'good people' by the others at the club. In fact her and Nuke's ultra kinky sex life is a matter of continuing entertainment to most and bafflement to some.
This brings me to one thing that I think this book had that the first book lacked was a very sharp sense of dark humor. Nuke and Jasmine are hardcore into their BDSM stuff and even amongst the jaded, free p****y on-demand anywhere anytime bikers, those two are a revelation. There was one scene where the President of the club, Mitch, has a 'Why in my day...." moment lamenting that a threesome or back-door action is no longer the high water mark of kinkiness.
Also there is a darkly funny scene of Kevin, Pipe and Nuke going to dispose of bodies while Pipe fussily makes sandwiches in the back of the van and offering cookies like some Assassin Martha Stewart. The book is peppered with good moments of dialogue and humor.
This installment also does a great job of showing how close Kevin, Pipe and Nuke are. In the last book we were told they were long time friends. This one, the author really brings it home. The three get more scenes together and the camaraderie between them feels very strong and so sharply defined that you have no trouble buying that they've known each other since they were kids.
We get a lot more exposure to Pipe who bonds with Jasmine. And we see Kevin going to some very dark places in the aftermath of his doomed relationship with Cindy from the last book.
The main plot involves a blast from Nuke's past in the form of his half-brother Holden. Holden is one of those guys who puts on a golden-boy face and make people believe he is a great guy but is in reality a devious person. I know Nuke likes to think of himself as a sociopath but he isn't because he actually has feelings. He feels love and guilt and loyalty. Now, Nuke is a psychopath, for sure but he is NOT a sociopath. Holden is actually the real sociopath because he is nothing but calculation from the time he appears in the book.
His appearance sets off a series of events that actually precipitates the first bump in the road for what had been a rather smooth sailing relationship between Jasmine and Nuke.
I like where the author took these two in this book because it felt like a realistic conflict for them. It wasn't contrived but rather felt very much in keeping with their characters. It also sets the scene for a rather epic and violent argument between the two of them, the likes of which none of their friends or members of the club thought these two would be capable of. I loved the way the argument unfolded and its aftermath.
I must say the author really knows how to tell a good story and craft some great scenes. She knows the difference between 'show' and 'tell'. The scene where Nuke has his final confrontation with Holden was well done and nicely written. I loved the way it ended.
My only quibble with these books is that they feel a might too short. But only because I am enjoying them so much. Not necessarily because the story feels shortchanged. It doesn't at all. Also, of course, the casual, sometimes extreme, misogyny that is present in these books still is problematic for me.
But all in all the first two books in the series have been really engaging reading. And I am jonesing for the next one.
Absolutely LOVED the first book and was excited to finally see another book by Jordan Abbott. I was pleasantly surprised by the twists and turns Hells Viper 2 took. I was happy to spend time with Nuke and Jasmine love the relationship they have together. I hope she writes another Hells Viper!! I would love to read about Pipe, Kevin and Medic. Great story line, no cheating , kinky and HOT.. what more could you ask for )
I loved the first one and I loved this one as well. We got to visit with characters from Book 1 and follow their new journey. Lots of twists and turns, bumps in the road, danger, betrayal and suspense and quite a bit of spice! I hope there will be another!
Even though this is a series, I think you could read this as a standalone. Nuke and Jasmine are married. Trouble comes in the form of Nuke's half brother Holden. A another MC club is causing problems and wearing HV colors. This is not a warm fuzzy romance or BDSM. The treatment of women is extremely crass and event violent at times. All hell breaks loose, lots of violence and blood-shed happens often. The sex is very explicit as is the violence.
This is a great continuation of Nuke and Jasmine’s story. They are happy and trying to build a life together. Then, Nuke’s brother shows up. I agree with the other reviewers. This guy is up to something! Let me warn you, this is a dark book. I really don’t think that it is BDSM as much as it is just rough sex. I don’t get the D/s vibe. I don’t care for the way women are treated in this word, but they seem to accept it. Who am I to judge? If you liked the last book, you are going to like this one! I give this 4 stars.
I loved Behind Blue Eyes Hells Vipers, book 2. This book had action, dangerous situations, steamy sex scenes. This book kept me on edge since page one I could hardly put it down. I loved the story on how it picked up from book 1. I loved the chemistry between Nuke and Jasmine.
Behind Blue Eyes continues from book one where there is still danger for the Hells Vipers from a rival MC club. Nuke's brother shows up with a bullet wound and a dead woman with him. Nuke has his doubts about his brother and doesn't trust him. Jasmine struggles when Nuke is in prison for a crime he didn't commit. She sells everything they own to get Nuke out of prison.
This book had it all the suspense was killing me when Nuke was in prison and Jasmine stood by her man trying to get him out of prison. Nuke was one tough bad boy who would do anything for Jasmine. He was sexy bad boy who was dominant in the bedroom. Jasmine was a tough female who fought for her man and stood by him.
Can't wait to see what is in store next for the Hells Vipers MC. Loving this series.
